A long time ago, in a land far away...

Yea...it's been a while.

Well, I was in Madrid from the 5th of November til the 12th. Gorgeous, gorgeous city. I was so lucky with the sunny weather. It started off warm, then mild, then it got progressively colder. And it rained 2 or 3 nights, but it was back sunny the following morning. Isa and Javi were fantastic hosts, and their apartment is gorgeous! And so central in the city. Spanish food is divine...tapas are such a social way of having food.

Birthday wishes to Deirdre, Lisa and Derbhile. Gosh, November is a busy month for birthdays. Isabel's birthday is next week.

The Brothers' Grimm is rubbish...so very disappointing.

Battle in Heaven is...interesting. And depressing. And understandably controversial.

New music : The Gathering. I'm really enjoying their album 'Mandylion'. Check them out!!!

And the big news : Dave and Jen are in LONDON!!! Woohoo!!! Hope you two are having such a good time. Such a pity I can't pop over to see ye. Next time!!! I'm still wrecked after Madrid.

And you should see the state of my room...it really needs tidying! hehe

Madrid...

Hola!

It's 12.45am and I'm still not completely packed for Madrid, which I leave for in 14 hours time...oh well. Getting there, slowly but surely. Ironing done. Almost ready.

Update: Breffni can't go to Madrid...she's still not better after a very bad dose of Shingles and I really hope she feels beter soon. I really hoped she'd be fine in time for the trip, but fate has a funny way of stepping in. After an agonising decision, she had to pull out and I really don't envy her that decision. It's an incredibly tough one to make.

So away I go to Madrid on my own...a little orphan...luckily Isabel will meet me in the airport...if any weirdos sit next to me on the plane, 'there'll be wigs on the green'! And Breffni is dead meat when I return, hehe!
